Are all of your pieces unique?

Yes, each piece of jewelry is handmade by Alex; therefore, there may be slight variations with each piece. There are no two gemstones exactly alike, making each piece from Alex Hossick Collections one of a kind.

 

What is the length of guarantee for my new piece(s)?

We stand by the quality and workmanship of our jewelry.  If your jewelry needs repair, please contact us at info@alexhossick.com and we will be happy to assess your piece(s) and provide an estimate. Jewelry will be automatically excluded from servicing if it has been worked on by an outside jeweler. Structural defects will be covered 100% by Alex Hossick Collections. 

 

What metals and gemstones do you work with?

We only work with high-quality, enduring materials from precious metals to genuine gemstones. We concentrate on producing sterling silver (both high polish and oxidized) and 14k yellow and rose gold; however, please email info@alexhossick.com if you are interested in other metals such as platinum and 18k yellow, white, and rose gold. 


Can you explain more about the type of metals you work in?

925 sterling silver is an alloy made of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper. The copper is mixed with the pure silver to enhance the strength of the allow since pure silver is very soft. 

Oxidized sterling silver has the same chemical composition as sterling silver but has been treated with a chemical causing a blackened “patina” on the metal. The blackened surface is then hand polished away to show the shiny silver relief work against the dark crevices, thus highlighting the texture and design of the piece. 

14k yellow gold is a mix of pure gold, pure silver, and copper. The percentages of each metal can vary slightly. Compared to 18K yellow gold, 14K yellow gold has a slightly warmer hue and is actually a bit more durable, thus doesn’t scratch or bend as easily. 


Can you tell me a bit more about your gemstones?

We use an array of genuine precious and semi-precious stones, including (but not limited to) diamond, sapphire, topaz, tourmaline, moonstone and an assortment of quartz.  Stones can either be cut into a smooth dome (cabochon) or cut with many flat facets (faceted stone) creating sparkle.


Can I get a piece customized for me?

Unfortunately at this time we are only offering stone customization on existing styles. This will incur a fee of $25, not including a price adjustment depending on the stone species. Desired stone availability is not always guaranteed, but we will do our best to find the perfect stone for you.


What are your terms of payment for customized stone requests?

For customized orders a 50% deposit is required prior to making your piece(s). Once the deposit is paid, the order cannot be cancelled and is the property of Alex Hossick Collections until the piece(s) is paid in full. Once paid in full, your order will be shipped to you. Please refer to the Shipping section for more details on delivery.

 

Where do you ship?

We currently only ship within the Continental US. International shipping coming very soon! Please reach out to info@alexhossick.com for further information.


How long does it take for my jewelry to ship?

We aim to deliver your new purchase(s) within 5-14 business days. This is determined by the origin of the shipment location– either from the US or from Indonesia depending on Alex’s current whereabouts or US stock availability. The delivery time of your item(s) will be clearly communicated to you after purchase. If you have questions or concerns about delivery schedule prior to purchasing please reach out to info@alexhossick.com. Rush delivery is available upon request and will require an additional fee.  

 

Do you ship to P.O. Boxes?

No, we currently do not ship to P.O. Boxes at this time


What is your return policy?

We want you to love your piece(s) from Alex Hossick Collections.  If you are not entirely satisfied with your jewelry we are happy to offer an exchange or credit within 14 calendar days of purchase.  We will offer a refund via original payment method if jewelry is in perfect condition, unworn and in original packaging within 14 calendar days of receipt of your order.  Jewelry exempt from a refund, exchange or credit are customized piece(s) (unless structurally faulty).

 

Do you offer repairs?

If your jewelry is damaged or broken during shipment, please contact us at info@alexhossick.com immediately as we are fully committed to making repairs that are out of our customers control. Please note: repairs can take up to 12 weeks to mend depending on the type of damage.

 

How do I go about returning my purchase for refund or repair?

Please contact us at info@alexhossick.com with your return request and order number.  Please insure your items as we cannot take responsibility for items that do not arrive back to us.  The cost of shipping will be determined on request of return and is non-refundable.  


Can I purchase a gift card?
