Heavily influenced by the natural world, Alex Hossick creates jewelry that embodies the organic forms and intricate textures evident in all living organisms. The artist’s distinctive perception of the natural world is evident in her work, and her artistic expression is achieved through a unique combination of hand carving and 3D computer modeling. The vivid colors and corals of the sea and the unmatched perfection of the urchin have become her muse.

Alex has always been interested in the arts. As a young adult, she sewed handbags and clothes and this passion led her to attend SCAD and concentrate in Fashion Design. She quickly changed her path to metals and jewelry after discovering the expressive possibilities in jewelry making. She was instantly drawn to the lost wax casting process and working with precious materials, and has been creating jewelry ever since.
